Hiking and footwear choices

Hiking carries real risks, and no boot, shoe or accessory prevents every injury. Fit varies from foot to foot and from brand to brand. Check the maker's sizing guidance and the retailer's return policy before you buy, and decide what's right for your feet, terrain and conditions.

Accuracy of information

We work to keep every page accurate and sourced, and we correct errors when we find them. Brands change models, specs and widths, and we can't guarantee that every detail is current at the moment you read it.
